  • It’s very important to acknowledge that men and women have different nutritional needs as a result of differences in their bodies. Women have special nutrient needs during each stage of a woman's life. For example, hormonal changes associated with menstruation, childbearing, and menopause mean that women have a higher risk of anemia, osteoporosis, and various nutritional deficiencies. For this reason, it’s important for women to take care of what they eat and take preventative health care steps for good health and well-being.

  • Hypertension is a medically-diagnosed condition characterized by a person’s consistent high blood pressure reading. Medical nutrition therapy and lifestyle changes serve as the primary treatment plan with a focus on physical activity and dietary modifications.
