Most of our clients come to us with pain mostly caused by muscular imbalances and poor postural awareness. While others came to us referred by their physiotherapist because they know what we are doing and they needed a trainer with rehab knowledge to take over.

Why.

We often experience pain from bad posture and tight muscles. It can be due to long hours of sitting hunched over at our desks during work, spending a long time in high heels, improper lifting of objects or simply being overweight. Sedentary lifestyles also weaken our muscles which can be a factor in causing pain as extra effort is needed.

Excessive repetitive movements may overuse certain muscles in our body, resulting in muscle imbalance.

The top three common pains that our clients experience are knee, back, and shoulder pain.

Who.

This program is suitable for you if

  • you are experiencing pain in the same part of your body for a while now, went for massages, chiropractors, and TCM but the pain still comes back, OR

  • keen on strengthening further after seeing a physiotherapist or looking for someone to guide you on homework given by your physiotherapist.

Disclaimer: We do not manage pain related to health problems or diseases. Our rehabilitation specialists treat musculoskeletal (muscle and/or bone) injuries while our movement therapists specialize in re-training poor movement patterns which encompass improving flexibility and strength.

What to expect.

In this package, there are typically about 1 to 2 face-to-face rehab training sessions per week working towards movement, body awareness, and/or manual therapy.

  • Standard rehab services: Post-injury strengthening, Functional training, Pilates, Yoga, Movement & Strength reconditioning

  • Premium rehab services: IASTM, Trigger point release, Aqua conditioning, Kinesiology

Regain Comfortable Motion

The road to recovery can be challenging. Our personal rehab trainers are aware of your objectives and will collaborate to restore full function and mobility using only corrective exercises and taking into account the various and extensive restrictions and incapacities. This program will last about 3 to 6 months, depending on your pain condition, which includes either 12 or 24 personal training sessions that have a duration of 1 hour each. You are also expected to do any other “homework” given by the rehab specialist or trainer (if any) which may include simple exercises to further strengthen your muscles or stretching at home outside of the rehab sessions.

    It's a nice place with very communicative people. They examine your needs and provide a list of packages that suits them. I went for the basic tier due to time constraints and budget.

    The gym I was allocated to was amazing, and the trainer was very nice to work with. Although I wasn't able to work out frequently, I always learn some useful techniques whenever I do visit, whether it's for targeting a specific muscle group or just injury prevention.

    My nephew recommended SgFitFam to me. I live in US and tried a few classes at different fitness centers. Didn’t quite work out so I was a little skeptical but willing to try. FAQs

  • For the above program, we recommend seeing your trainer at least once per week. Exercises are like skills that you practice consistently. So if you would like to see more significant changes in a shorter period of time, we will recommend seeing your personal trainer 2 to 3 times a week to start. This helps you establish a consistent fitness routine in order to achieve sustainable results.

  • All of our rehab trainers are qualified personal trainers with up to 2 decades of experience. If a client’s goals change along the way, they may choose to switch to someone who is more suitable/experienced in that aspect.

  • Our team is located islandwide - in boutique gyms: Somerset, Dhoby Ghaut, Kembangan, and Woodlands. Our trainers also do house visits, condominium gyms, outdoors, and virtually as well, depending on your fitness goals. You could let us know your preference during the consultation and we will give recommendations accordingly.

  • Extension of validity will be on case by case basis, but generally, we are quite strict on it and most of the time our answer is no. In the situation the assigned trainer cannot make it on certain days or periods, we will arrange a cover trainer, so you won’t miss your training.
